Often what we want to display to our site visitors is a Flyer or Poster that we have made that invites them to an up coming event or showcases past achievements for projects completed. Don't use the Flyer as the only context of that content- Why? the information within the image/ document visual is not going to be indexed on the internet- meaning people cant search for that information and only find it by searching for the title of the flyer you uploaded. The content doesn't scale well on different sized screens, and never gets translated into other languages. And if you use an image with words in it- all of the words must also exist in the image's Alternative Tag/ Alt Text. Consider your large Flyer/ Poster that is being used in a physical hand out way to provide a sighted person with quick tidbits of information, would you hand the same piece of paper to someone you knew was blind? No way.
