There are many ways to showcase lists and links (and lots of organized Links) on a page. Several widgets shown below can be used to display lists of things, like Documents, Helpful Links! Upcoming Meetings and their Agendas, or Past Meetings and their Agendas/Minutes. You do not need to focus on using a Text Area (Content Area, Tabbed, Accordion or Content Columns widget) and build in Bullets or Numbers. But if you do - do not copy and paste them- always build in your lists and links natively to the text area.
Icons/Buttons-
The "Interior Image Buttons" widget often referred to as the Icons Widget can showcase and series of Images that are links on rectangular fields. PNG or SVG files are great here, and you can link the buttons to things like Exterior or Interior pages or even Documents in your Document Central using the "doc id" like I did with these buttons:
Document Folder
The Document Folder widget - Use the structure of your Document Central Folders and Subfolders to produce the look and feel you see below. Any Document you upload into the Document Central Folder- can automatically appear within the widget on this page without manually editing this widget on a regular basis. Think of this widget as a window into your Document Central component.

You can change the Title that fits in the colored banner above the document folders

Do you want your list of documents to look like this? this is 2 document links in a Content Area:
Just use the Document Central Icon 
and select the Document to insert.
Lists can also be created using the 
Lists Icon to create Numbered and Bulleted lists
List things sequentially <ol>
- Lather
- Rinse
- Dry
List things non- sequentially <ul>
- Drivers License
- Water Bill
- High School Diploma
Links in Text Areas
External Link - leads to a website you do not control the content on
Email Link- opens the site visitor's email agent and has a prebuilt send to address and subject line
Internal Link- a "relative" link that is used to drive site visitors to a page within your CMS
Document Link- A link to a document that is published within your Document Central component
Anchor Link- deliver a site visitor to a position on a page that you designate- like a table of contents link on wikipedia
Calendar Meeting List
- This widget is best used for displaying a list of MEETINGS that DO NOT happen in the same month
- This is a great widget for also showing Agendas and Minutes that are attached to the Calendar Event
- It is used to show many Events from 1 or multiple Categories on a single Page
Image Tile Widget
Use an image within a tile shape as a button with a short description that send the site visitor to a location you want.
